New Windsor residents have been coming out in droves to watch live concerts on the front lawn of the Town Hall. Those who have been meaning to get out and see a concert should do so soon as the season is quickly coming to an end.
Last night’s performance by River of Dreams, a Billy Joel tribute band, drew a spectacular crowd to the Nancy Pullar Summer Concert Series. The New Windsor Recreation Department was hard at work grilling hot dogs and distributing them to those in attendance. Local business Mamma Mia provided pizza for the crowd.
The concerts are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Those attending are permitted to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Next week’s concert will feature The Saints. The season finale will be held on August 17, 2022 with Tim Urban performing.
The concert series is named after Nancy Pullar, a late New Windsor town employee who passed away in 2009 at the young age of 44. Pullar was instrumental in the success of the concert series during its early stages.
