A work party is being scheduled to help residents on Lutheran Street in the City of Newburgh to clean up their block.
The cleanup event will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is being hosted by Newburgh City Councilman Anthony Grice.
Residents on Lutheran Street are looking to clean up their block, but they need some help. Anyone wishing to volunteer can show up during the designated time. Volunteers are asked to bring work gloves, work boots, garbage bags, brooms, shovels, rakes, and any other materials which may be necessary. They should also bring snacks and water.
“While there are more issues there than just physically cleaning it up, this is a good start,” Grice observed. “It is an opportunity to connect with people and help a community.”
Lutheran Street is located off Broadway two blocks west of St. Luke’s Hospital.
