Newburgh Enlarged City School District students participating in the Extended School Year Program are creating a mural that will be featured in the cafetorium at the Vail’s Gate Elementary School. Local business owners happily contributed to the cause.
The mural features the NECSD elementary school mascot “Goldie”back, the former Vail’s Gate STEAM Academy gator mascot, and the school name.
The Vail’s Gate School cafetorium is currently being renovated which will delay the placement and unveiling of the mural. However, the students continue working diligently with every brush stroke to complete the project before the upcoming school year.
The following local businesses contributed to the cause: Miracle Bagels, Heights Lumber, Temple Hill Tavern & Catering, and El Jalapenos Restaurant.
