Town of New Windsor residents have been turning out to join their neighbors in fun-filled outdoor events being held by the Recreation Department. The Town is providing outdoor movies and an outdoor concert series, all free to the public.
On Friday night, the second in a series of the Friday night “Movie in the Park” event was held at the Kristi Babcock Memorial Park on Mount Airy Road. Residents turned out to watch “Spiderman – No Way Home.” Children met superheroes and made their own Spiderman masks prior to the movie. All in attendance watched the movie on a large, inflatable screen. Next week’s feature will be “Jurassic Park,” in which youngsters will meet dinosaurs and participate in crafts before the movie.
On Wednesday night, a large crowd gathered to watch the second concert in a summer-long series at the gazebo in front of the Town Hall on Union Avenue. The Nancy Pullar Summer Concert Series has been a staple in New Windsor for many years and includes live music and food. Next week’s band will be Hurley Mountain Highway.
The Newburgh News previously reported when both summer series were first announced. The movie schedule is available here and the concert schedule is available here.
