Two Killed in Road Rage Incident on I-84

Two men were accidentally killed during a road rage incident on Interstate 84 in Putnam County overnight on Friday into Saturday, according to the New York State Police.

An initial police investigation determined that two men, Mark H. Hall, age 38 of Holmes, NY, and Fabian A. Tirado, age 22 of Wappinger, NY, had stopped in the right lane of travel on Interstate 84 westbound near mile marker 59.5 in the Town of Kent. Both drivers exited their vehicles due to a road rage altercation.

While Hall and Tirado continued to argue in the right lane of traffic, an unrelated vehicle came along and struck both men.

Hall and Tirado were both pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle that struck them suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Danbury Hospital.

The State Police are continuing to investigate.
