For the second time in two days, City of Newburgh police officers showed off their barbecuing skills last night. This time, they were on hand doing a pre-movie cookout prior to the kickoff of Safe Harbors of the Hudson’s first movie in a summer-long series.
Safe Harbors has teamed up with the City of Newburgh government to provide a series of free movies to the public. The movies are played on an outdoor, inflatable screen located at the corner of Broadway and Liberty Street, just up from the Ritz Theater.
Last night marked the first of several movies being played for the community. Those in attendance watched “Encanto.”
Movies will run through early August. See our Community Calendar for the complete listing.
