The Fourth of July holiday weekend is quickly approaching. Since Independence Day falls on a Monday this year, celebrations will kick off early and continue throughout the weekend.
The Newburgh News has compiled a list of events for those wishing to head out and celebrate.
Friday, July 1:
- Town of Newburgh: The annual Community Day celebration and fireworks will be held at Algonquin Park and Cronomer Park from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Saturday, July 2:
- West Point: The annual Independence Day celebration and fireworks will be held at the Trophy Point Amphitheater. The West Point Band “Music Under the Stars” will begin performing at 7:30 pm. Audiences are welcome to bring picnics.
Sunday, July 3:
- City of Newburgh: A Food Truck Festival will be held from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Broadway and Colden Street, just up from the Newburgh Waterfront. Monday, July 4:
