New York State Senator James Skoufis will hold a reading challenge for children during their summer break, the Newburgh Enlarged City School District (NECSD) announced today. Students who successfully complete the challenge will be presented with a certificate this fall.
Skoufis’ first ever Summer Reading and Exercise Challenge is designed to encourage reading and physical activity between school years.
Students who read for at least 30 minutes and exercise for 15 minutes each day for at least 40 days during the months of July and August will be presented with the certificate at the NECSD’s Fall Recognition Ceremony.
