Hudson Valley Honor Flight recognizes American veterans for their sacrifices. They transport veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials at no cost to them. They fly multiple times per year out of Stewart Airport in New Windsor and Westchester County Airport. Top priority is given to those of the “Greatest Generation”, that of World War II, and terminally ill veterans from other wars.
So far, the organization has served approximately 2,000 veterans in their decade of existence. They plan to take all veterans from other wars on future flights.
