South Middle School Holds Largest Ever Junior Honor Society Induction

South Middle School held the largest in-person National Junior Honor Society Induction in their history on Tuesday.

For the first time in three years, all three grades were honored. In total, 179 students were inducted, which included 42 sixth graders, 70 seventh graders, and 67 eighth graders.

Honor Society President Annaliese Vargas, Vice President Josh Yan, Secretary Madison Gravel and Treasure Augustina White and Mrs. McMurtrie, the Honor Society advisor, worked to plan the event.

The South Middle School National Junior Honor Society Guilfoil-Hoffman Induction Ceremony highlighted five characteristics of leaders: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship.
