New Windsor School Honors Police

In recognition of National Police Week, students and staff recognized the New Windsor Police Department last Thursday.

New Windsor Police Officers Babcock and Finnerty, along with Detectives Wicker and Pierri, visited the school to have lunch with the students. The school celebrated police by creating personalized cards and giving them an ovation as they walked throughout the building.

School officials said the police were excited, and the students were appreciative of the officers and the work they do to serve the community.

The police visit was one of many across the Newburgh Enlarged City School District during National Police Week, which was created to pay homage and to honor those officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
