Kindergarten students in Mrs. Pearce’s class at the Vails Gate Elementary School in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District recently had an opportunity to create robots using 3D shapes.
The class has been learning all about 3D shapes recently. They studied 3D shapes in their GoMath curriculum for two weeks.
The young students became familiar with the names of the shapes and were asked to create a robot using 3D shapes and flat shapes. According to the students, many of their robots have powers. They are able to make food, including spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, bacon, and cupcakes.
The children were said to be so excited that they even named their robots.
