City of Newburgh to Hold Water Health Fair on Saturday

City of Newburgh residents are invited to attend a Health, Water and PFAS Information Fair for the Multi-Site PFAS Health Study at the Newburgh Free Library located at 124 Grand Street this Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Those in attendance will learn about the important multi-site PFAS Health Study taking place in the City of Newburgh. The fair includes children’s activities, an opportunity to enroll in the study and the chance to meet clinic and research staff.

Residents are encouraged to join the study to help make sure that City residents are represented in this important, first ever national study of the relationship between PFAS exposures in drinking water and health outcomes.

City residents will also have the opportunity to learn about the following organizations: the Newburgh Clean Water Project, River Keeper, Orange County Department of Health, the City of Newburgh Water Department, the NAACP Environmental Working Group, Eddy at New Paltz, Environmental Advocates, Sustainable Hudson Valley and the Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Initiative.
