Newburgh Free Academy’s West Campus recently celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week with a day of relaxation and wellness.
NFA West opened its “Club Oasis,” which featured student led yoga, meditation, soap making and “West Fit” workshops. Teacher Catherine Bullock and her interns offered all day cosmetology services to the teachers.
Teacher Lakeya Stukes quoted actress Rita Pierson, “Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.”
