City of Newburgh Property Assessment Grievance Day Scheduled

The City of Newburgh Assessor has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and a copy is available in their office at City Hall. Grievance forms are available and must be submitted by May 24, 2022.

The Tentative Assessment Roll is published online at the City of Newburgh’s website at  www.cityofnewburgh-ny.gov.

The Assessment Roll may be examined by any interested person Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Assessor will also be available: Wednesday, May 11 at 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Thursday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; Thursday, May 19 at 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 21 at 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. by appointment only.

The Board of Assessment Review will meet by appointment on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Activity Center, 401 Washington Street, Newburgh, NY 12550 to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the written application of any person believing her/himself to be aggrieved.

Application forms (RP-524) to file a grievance are available at the office of the City Assessor or online at the City’s website https://www.cityofnewburgh-ny.gov/157/Assessor.

Grievance form (RP-524) must be received by May 24, 2022 and should be mailed or hand delivered to the Assessor’s Office, 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550.
