Balmville Students Receive Motivation Before State Exams

Students at the Newburgh Enlarged City School District’s Balmville School were provided with a boost of confidence for their upcoming New York State Math Assessments.

Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Martin and Teacher Assistant Mrs. Raguse wrote motivational statements on pencils for students that they will use for next week’s exams. The words on the pencils serve to encourage the young scholars to do their best during the two day testing period.

Martin and Ragusa used “The Little Engine That Could” motif as a way of motivating the students to believe they can overcome any difficult task when they believe in themselves.
