The City of Newburgh and Safe Harbors of the Hudson will conduct their tenth annual Newburgh Community Cleanup event on Saturday, April 23, at 9:00am. The event will begin and conclude at the Safe Harbors location at 111 Broadway.
The Newburgh Community Cleanup will kick off a city-wide effort to keep Newburgh clean and green all year. The event features a music performance by students from the Newburgh Enlarged City School District using recycled instruments, a Community Construction Student project and an herb gardening workshop. Refreshments will also be served.
Interested participants must fill and sign a volunteer waiver to bring to the event.
Heavy duty gloves and garbage bags will be provided. Dumpsters will be centrally located in front of 111 Broadway. This is not a bulk pickup throughout the city.
