The City of Newburgh Recreation Department announced the launch of the 2022 Soccer Youth League for boys and girls.
Beginning on May 2 through June 8, the league will host children ages 3 -7 years old on Mondays and Wednesday at the Delano Hitch Recreation Park, 401 Washington Street, Newburgh, NY 12550.
For a fee of $65, the 2022 Soccer Youth League will introduce youth ages 3-6 to basic soccer skills, and will provide those of age 7-10, the opportunity to fulfill their soccer potential in a fun filled environment through a series of soccer training sessions tailored to further develop their soccer skills. Both age groups will conduct warm-ups, and practice dribbling, passing, shielding, trapping, tackling, shooting and goalkeeping.
Parents/guardians interested in enrolling their child can register in person at the Activity Center, 401 Washington Street, Newburgh, NY 12550, or online at the Recreation Department website. Registration for the Spring league is open, and there is a maximum enrollment capacity.
Children can be registered on the day of the event, but pre-registration is encouraged. Birth certificates are required at the time of registration.
Participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and must be properly equipped with shin guards and appropriate foot attire. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing their child with water. No eating or drinking of other liquids on the field is allowed.
