This year, the Storm King Fire Engine Company #2 is celebrating 153 years of volunteer service to their community and the surrounding area. The Annual Firemen’s Fair has been a staple in the community for over seven decades. Now, the volunteer firefighters are turning to the community to help support the fair.
The annual fair is just one of the many events that Storm King Engine Company sponsors each year. This year will be their 72nd Annual Edition. Funds raised at the fair are utilized to provide scholarships for graduating seniors of the Cornwall Central High school, sponsor local boy scouts, as well as sponsoring various community holiday celebrations.
Firefighters are seeking the community’s help. There are many costs associated with such a large event. The costs involve entertainment, food, refreshment’s, and other logistical costs such as bathroom facility rentals. The biggest expense for the fair is the grand fireworks display on the final night.
Those wishing to participate in this special community event are asked to consider making a financial donation, a donation of goods, or a donation of services to help offset the cost of hosting the annual fair. Tax-deductible donations can be made payable to:
