For the first time ever, the Town of New Windsor will begin participating in the National Night Out this year.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. It is typically held on the first Tuesday of August every year.
New Windsor will celebrate the event on Tuesday, August 2nd, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Kristi Babcock Park at 660 Mount Airy Road.
Family fun will include a rock climbing wall, bounce house, first responder field games, police K-9 demonstrations, fire trucks, hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, and more.
The event is being presented by the New Windsor Town Board in an effort to create a townwide night of fun with family, friends and neighbors to make the community a safer and better place to live.
