Patricia E. Bayack, 72, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in Orlando, Florida surrounded by loved ones. The daughter of the late Augustus and Rose (Azzarelli) Merola, she was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 18, 1950.
Patti was a dear Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and friend. Patti enjoyed life to its fullest….Whether it was riding the latest amusement park thrill ride, dining at one of her favorite restaurants or bars (where the employees would become “extended” family members), or spending a quiet evening crocheting at home. Patti touched many lives from her close family and friends to people worldwide with her prayer circle chain.
Patti was a member of St Mary’s Church Marlboro NY, and a member of NASW. She was a Master Social Worker and graduated from Resurrection School in Brooklyn, St Brendans Diocese- High School, Dominican University, and New York University.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Raymond, Bayack, whom she married on November 29, 1969 in Brooklyn; her children: Raymond Bayack and Gary Baumeister (Orlando Florida), Nicholas and Michelle Bayack (Middletown NY); grandchildren: Carissa Bayack, Bryce Bayack; 10 Siblings: Alexander Sandy Merola (Madelyn) Lincoln CA, Linda Suarez (Ed) Cornwall NY , Rick Merola (Sherry) Ft Worth Texas, Augustus Augie Merola (Kathleen ) Brooklyn NY, Paul Merola (Randi) Cornwall On Hudson NY, Mary Rose Parisi (Patrick) Niskayuna NY, Kevin Merola (Ivana) East Meadow NY, Eddie Merola (Maureen) Mt Arlington NJ, John Merola (Janice) Middletown NJ, Peggy Tavolaro (Cono) Commack NY; and nieces and nephews: Linda and Liam, Michael and Ikumi, Brian and Jerry, Jessica and Andrew, Michael and Kyle, Annabelle, Anthony and Sara, Jennifer, Ryan, Paul and Katie, Dillon, Joseph, Rose, Tori, Christopher, Megan, Alexis, Lisa, Kristen, Stephanie, CJ, Sarah. Patti also has many loving cousins, great nieces and nephews, and a multitude of great friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will take place Friday, April 1 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Marlboro, NY, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
