Newburgh Enlarged City School District students gathered at the Newburgh Armory last week to participate in the annual Math Meet Competition.
Nine students from each elementary school throughout the district were selected to participate in the competition based on their New York State math test scores, iReady scores, report cards, and teacher recommendations.
The competition is heating up as it heads toward the final meet with The Rolling Crimsons (1st place – 204 points) holding a slight lead over The Superior Mathematicians (2nd place – 203 points) and Algebrats! (3rd place – 202 points). It is still any team’s competition to win as they head into the final stretch.
